Male Yellow Headed Black Bird

17 Apr 2011

When I seen this Yellow Head Black Bird I was amazed with the color! I did not know there was such a bird here in Oregon (back in 2010 when this was photographed).

Learning they do migrate south with other birds. I took these photographs the end of May 2010 and I thought I put them here on, but like others I guess I did not. I did read where these have been kept as caged birds in other countries.

All I know is we have not seen one since these photographs were taken. 2015 UPDATE. Since this was first published in my blog we have found several nesting sites, one we try and visit several times a year.
